Nascar project!

Hi,

I'm a brit and know very little about NASCAR, so where better to go then here!

Ok so i know this is more of a personal opinion but who are the most important drivers right now in NASCAR? they don't have to be the guys in the top ten, just in terms of ability and personality.

I'll probably have more questions soon. thanks

Re: Nascar project!

Welcome MRT. In my opinion, the most "important" drivers in Nascar would be the guys at the top of the standings, Matt Kenseth and Jimmie Johnson. There is also Dale Jr. and veterans like Mark Martin and Jeff Burton who I would consider to be important to the sport.

Re: Nascar project!

Daytona has a 31 degree turn/banking, is that the angle the car leans on the track, or is it the amount a driver has to turn?

It would be the angle at which the car leans. As far as tracks go. Fav tracks would be Talladega, Bristol, Michigan, and Watkins Glen.

Put Gordo's resume next to Tony's and then rewrite your (post). At least give credit to the most talented.

Re: Nascar project!

I would say in general, the most faverite tracks would be daytona/talladega and the sort tracks, bristol, richmond, martinsville.

as far as the most talented driver between tony and jeff

jeff has 4 championships, tony 2 championships.

but on a time line jeff has been here 12 years and 4 champ
tony 6 years 2 time champ - both equal 1 champ every 3 years so there even there.

how many win are there each ????, hoiw about avg. points per year ????

Re: Nascar project!

Well ( not just considering Nascar ) Tony has a total of 10 career race championships, I'm not sure if this years Iroc championship is included in the total. I'm also not sure of Jeff's total career outside of his 4 Nascar.
Maybe one of the 24 fans will chime in... Wait a minute what was I thinking? Of course they will!

Tony's average season final position since 1999 3.85
Jeff's " " " " since 1999 5.43

Tony has more talent than Jeff? Oh, but thats from a Gordon hater, and Gordon haters think everyone has more talent than Jeff, so Im not surprised.

Jeff is hated because he has beaten their drivers over and over. Every driver is cocky, no different with Jeff Gordon. Keep the excuses coming!

Jeff Gordon - One of the most popular guys in NASCAR - Greatest talent to come in NASCAR since Dale Earnhardt.

Tony Stewart - Causing controversy, another talented driver.

Dale Jr - Because of Dale Earnhardt

Tracks

Darlington - Great track, plain and simple.

Dega and Daytona - Always fun racing, but has been boring lately.

Atlanta: Always great racing.
