Performance wise i don't think they make that much of a difference as on shale(dirt)track's we reach a max speed of possibly 70mph. the car's are possibly more like your sprint's than anything else you have over there. Craig |

| Re: Hey guy's take a look at this Great site, Craig. I'd be interested in knowing the type engines you run, though I would presume they'd run four cylinder engines with dual two barrel carbs? Probably Leyland engines out of Triumphs, or the like? What kind of frames do they use? They look as though they could be mini-lorry frames or even taxi frames? They remind me very much of the high-dollar figure eight cars they used to run. Back in the fifty's, at my hometown track, we used to run something slightly resembling your cars, only without the wing or the enclosed driver compartment. They were called Roadsters, running a sectioned 30's or 40's coupe frame with the top removed. We ran flathead Ford or mercury engines, bored out with the heads milled so radically that we always had trouble with the valves breaking the heads. We had a set of ARDUN heads (overhead valve conversion heads for a flathead engine), but we'nt allowed to run them. We ran either a 350 CFM four barrel carb or ran three two barrels. Gohd! This really brings back memories! Thanks for sharing your page.
