Which is my point about double standards. When someone wrecks another to win......all is ok and there is no penalty. It don't happen that way at local tracks! You wreck the leader, you go to the back........no matter what lap it is.

You can't move someone out of the way at local tracks? Thats pretty sad. You should be able to move people out of the way to win or a position.

Did y'all notice how aggressive our little Denny is getting. I was worried he might get called for it, I guess it would only count if you wreck someone. But he sure was driving his butt off.

I don't think it was aggressive- even JJ complimented Denny in his post-race interview. No doubt JJ or JG or Jr would have tried it the same way. Denny raced hard, took a shot, and decided he was satisfied with 2nd. He said in his post-race that he knew if he got past JJ that JJ would have done the same to him, and that he probably wouldn't have been able to save it like JJ did. Shows some great maturity.
Now, time for NASCAR to hand over the Rookie of the Year Award.

As it stands right now it is NASCAR that makes the call for aggressive driving. JJ wouldn't have been so gracious if Denny had taken 1st away from him. From the way I saw the race Denny waqs driving hard but not aggressive. I'm sure there is a fine line between the two .... depending on what end of aggressive you're on.

I have to agree Hamlin is rookie of the year. He raced a GREAT race. He drove hard but smart. He is showing great maturity. Oh and did anyone notice that both JG and JJ were very graciuos after the race.

either. There are some rookies out
there that I question if they belong
there, but not Hamlin. He definately
should get rookie of the year

Gee I opened up a can of worms that I didn't know excisted. I guess I should of commented better. I loved the job of driving Denny did, he's one of my favorite up coming new stars. He was driving aggressive the way a race driver should, but I have seen NASCAR blackflag a driver for less. If he had wrecked Jimmie what do you think would of been said? And that is what LSC is saying for me I think.

I think it would be sad, I think its sad he's in the chases. You have to pay your dues, look at Edwards this year. I like Denny and I want to see him do well. I just wish he'd had time to develope normal, what ever that is anymore. I just hope things don't get tough on him the next few years, now he will be expected to preform like a veteran.
