And yes right when the race was getting great, at many many times, like when JR. was in 3rd, moving at a good pace, smoke coming up from 7th to help, ummmmm they cut to rerun clips of the race from the previous hour!!!! DUHHHHHHH WE ALREADY SAW THAT MINUTE OF THE RACE WE WANT TO WATCH THE LIVE ACTION!!! omg lmaooooooooooooooo not good! Let me in that control room just once!

Great coverage by ESPN. I enjoyed it alot. It was MUCH better than NBC's that's for sure. I liked how the anylists explained stuff and showed everything, gives the new racing fan some knowledge of the sport. I liked it, much better than NBC. I wish ESPN, FOX and ABC did all the races!

I agree. I especially like the insight Andy Petree had, and Rusty doesn't seem like most other drivers turnes commentators who are always saying what a guy should/will do in every situation. Sure, that will happen sometimes. I would think as former driver you can't help but throw something in. Good to have the good doctor back at a NASCAR race. I really think they need to get Bob Jenkins though.

I didn't watch ESPN's coverage so I can't make any comments.

I'm not surprised over the complaints about an excess of commercials. Hey, everyone wanted NASCAR to be covered nationally each and every race, didn't they? Well, NASCAR's got it and with exposure comes a high price, namely an excess of commercials to pay for those short race breaks they take periodically.

I don't know but I would guess that someone thought the covering of the race to see who made the race took precedence over who won the race. I don't know that for sure but it'd be my guess.

My gut reaction is that I'll undoubtedly take the ESPN crew over the unfortunate Mike Joy and the Two Village Idiots he's forced to share a booth with. But, I could be proved wrong in that guess. Time will tell.

I also did not get to watch the race coverage with espn. I know it was announced last year that Na$car was not going to let ESPN and ABC do the split screen like they do the other racin series they cover. I blame the whole shabang on Na$car.
