Re: Bank of America 500 Predictions & Discussion

This 24 team is a peice of crap. I can't believe Jeff Gordon can stand through this. Even though Jeff is having a better season than he did in 05, this team can not build his cars. Letarte did a great job on adjusting Jeff's cars, it looks like he has learned. But this team needs to learn how to build his cars. This is starting to get frustrating on how peice of crap this 24 team is, and none of this is Jeff Gordon's fault, its the team building the cars.

No, their driver is not a peice of crap. Jeff Gordon is one of the best drivers in NASCAR history. But his team is certainly a peice of crap.

Maybe if the car was fine tuned in the night it would have run better too?

I'm sure thats based on stats.....the ONE AND ONLY reason to like a driver.

So you're saying its hard to soar with Eagles when you are working with Turkeys. If thats the case, maybe he can lure Evernham back by swapping his hottie supermodel fiance for Erin.

Excuse me? The last time I checked, I like Jeff Gordon because he can drive.

Excuse me? I think Jeff Gordon won 2 championships with Loomis *cough cough* 1. But Letarte did a great job tonight, hopefully he has learned how to crew chief.

Bzzzzzzzt, wrong answer, but thanks for playing!
Gordon won 3 titles with suspension guru Evernham, but now is just another high dollar contender without him. No better than any other heavily funded team.

Oh, and you're excused again.

Really? So, what Im getting at is Jeff is not good without Evernham? Wow, thats a totally false statement. Only if the Chase did not screw Jeff Gordon's, and other drivers careers for that matter, careers.

Gordon has not been the dominating force he was before Evernham left. Sure, he is usually a contender, because Hendrick has unlimited $$$. He had 3 Cup titles and 47 wins in 6 years with Evernham, including winning a record-tying 13 races during Evernhams last season with him. I have no idea how many poles they had, but it seemed like every other race.

He has gone 7 years without him now, and has one title, 26(?) wins and nowhere near 13 wins in one season. You like stats, and there they are. Gordo just ain't the same without Ray. About the only thing he does better now, than he did in the 90s...........is WHINE!

I will give you that, I can not deny stats. But, maybe if it wasn't for his crappy team, Jeff could have atleast 5-6 championships by now. Hendricks is a great team that Jeff can win championships with, and anyone can win with championships for that matter, but you need to have a good team that makes smooth stops, no mistakes, they build the cars right, which Jeff Gordon's team seems to have a problem doing so. But, one good sign is Letarte did a great job last night of adjusting Jeff's cars, so hopefully he has learned how to adjust Jeff's cars properly, now that whole team needs to get on the right track, and 2007 is going to be better, maybe even a championship year.

The world is full of "if's"

"If" Earnhardt was still alive, he could have 8 or 9 Championships

"If" Gordon never had Evernham, he could possibly have only 1 title and a lot less wins.

"If" Gordo wasnt such a jerk, we'd have nothing to argue about.
