Hang your heads, this is sick. I'm sorry I find this entirely unbelieveable. I'll just give y'all this to read cause I really wouldn't want to put in words how sick this makes me.

The Nextel Cup Series is scheduled to race Saturday night at Lowe's, and track owner Bruton Smith felt the need to offer Vickers assistance because of the flood of phone calls the track received Monday. "We want to make sure Brian has an uninterrupted weekend here and that he is able focus on his driving duties," Smith said. "We will offer security escorts in and out of the speedway and anywhere he feels he needs our assistance."

This is redicilious. This just proves my point once again on how some of these Jr fans take things way too seriously. Reading this makes me realise how many idiots are out there.

Ummm... Where did it say Jr's fans were the ones making the calls. Anyone else read that anywhere? It could just as well be the sour grape bunches that follow HMS or Johnson. Your making a false assumption. And don't give me any HMS fans would never do such a thing B.S.

I am not. If Gordon fans would have gotten upset at Matt or anyone else who wrecked him, was their security for him? No. It proves that Gordon fans are able to take it and move on, but some Jr fans can not do that.

Mike once again it does not say it is Junior fans. It just says there were alot of calls. It could be Johnson fans as well that are ultra upset. Nothing in that article says it's Juniors fans...

But the article is directing to it. Why would Jr attack Vickers when he was calm after the race? Its basically saying that extra security will be there to protect fans from attacking/throwing debris at Vickers. NASCAR needs to add more security like this at every event to stop the throwing debris at people after they win a race, it is very low class and idiotic.

I'm missing your point here... you say it's juniors fans that are causing the extra security... yet the article doesn't say anything about it being Juniors fans when it could have been Johnson's fans. The article also mentions they are going to a track sponsored by Johnson's sponsor.

Why wouldn't they? We know the past history with Jr fans. Throwing trash at Gordon, etc. They are basically adding security to protect Vickers from both Johnson and Jr fans. So I guess you can say the same thing about Johnson fans.

That's what I'm talkin about... yes we know the fans past history... however you can't automatically assume when There are several people that are irate that aren't Juniors fans... case in point look at some of the past posts since Dega now that everyone is calling for Vickers head( I'm not saying or assuming anyone from goteamsgo would do such a thing). It could go either way.

So you are saying the only ones throwing trash at Gordon are Jr. fans? People were booing him and throwing stuff at him before Jr. was even in Cup! Gordon haters throw stuff at him, not nessecarily Jr. fans.
