Honestly, since we're dealing with NA$CAR, I would imagine it depends on who the leader is. Or, more accurately, who the car's owner is and who is the sponsor. When it comes to NA$CAR, EVERYTHING seems to be subjective.

| Re: how did the #8 and#48 NASCAR has basically messed up their points system. They need to allow racing back to the line. Racing back to the line did not cause Dale Earnhardt's tragic accident. But I do understand why NASCAR mandates that rule. But yeah, NASCAR's system is hard to figure out.

As far as my not liking Jeff, it goes back to the time when he was beating my favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt in the mid-late 90s. That was hard to swallow because Ray always put him in a car that was far superior to the veterans out there. Can you say Silver Platter? It just escalated from there, like it did with thousands (millions?) of other fans like me. I have never taken anything away from his ablity. I just never cared for his personality, on and off the track. I'm sure you could dig deep in the archieves for a more in-depth answer, but that pretty much sums it up. As far as favorite drivers, I try not to focus on one, because its too frustrating. I like racing......not just one driver, at least after DE's death. My current favs are Jr., Kahne, Kenseth, Hamlin, Sterling, Blaney, Boyer and a couple others I listed in another thread. Tony is also a favorite, but he keeps doing stupid things, so I'm up in the air with him. I also root for the underdog. It's easy to cheer for a winner, but its more satisfying when an underdog wins against all odds. Go Gililand!!! |
