| Re: Montoya finishes 3rd Am I wrong?? but I thought ARCA races don't end under caution. I swear I saw a race where they had like 8 Green/White/Checker attempts before they got across the finish line. maybe they made an exception cause of that last wreck? or cause it got dark? I was doing other things at the time and all of a sudden it was over... |

I agree, Q88. As of right now we don't really know if he's the next star or just another fast-driving schlump. My person praise for him was concerning his apparent quick adaptation from the weed-whackers-on-steroids to full bodied stock cars. To my knowledge, other than a seat-swapping session with Jeffie a few years ago which was measured in minutes, the first time he actually even drove a stock car was a couple weeks ago. Yesterday afternoon was the first time he had actually raced. To stay out of trouble the way he did, and especially the way he handled the car after being hit was noteable. I would throw in his ability to move forward thru traffic too but the car he was in was the obviously class of the field. I'm positive a more seasoned driver could have driven that Ganassi/Sabates-prepared ARCA car immediately to the front and probably stayed there. A car like that in an ARCA race could possibly be compared to hunting squirrels with a .357 magnum. I agree with you that labeling Juan Pablo as the next David Pearson is awfully premature. However, taking his stock car experience into consideration, I, personally, believe that his performance yesterday was nothing short of remarkable.

| Re: Montoya finishes 3rd I thought Montoya did a fantastic job considering his stock car experience so far. I have to agree with Bob though his car was at the very least extremely competitive. I am anxiously awaiting his Nextel Cup debut. Then we will see what is what. |

| Re: Montoya finishes 3rd I was so mad about Montoya getting all the airtime, but it was a welcoming because Kimmel ALWAYS gets the airtime for ARCA. Sorry everyone but the 59-Ryan Howard is my exs nephew and I am pissed because seems you have to blow up to get any airtime unless your Kimmel or Steve Wallace only because of Rusty!

| Re: Montoya finishes 3rd Yea Grandma, I was driving home past Ryan H. parents house and everything just had a weird feeling. Then I got home and my friend told me you shouldn't watch the ARCA race at Talladega, my friend wouldn't tell me what happened, then I watched Ryan blew up! He was pissed! Poor guy! Chas Miller and Ryan Foster are doing well and I'm also watching Billy Venturini! |
