Mayfield's Problem is that his head has out grown his talent. Alot of his problem started when he married the new Mrs. Mayfield. I met Mayfield when he was a gung-ho young driver and he enjoyed driving and he enjoyed meeting his fans. When Shana came into the picture, his whole attitude changed to include his driving. She has "ruled the roost". Just read the Nascar.coms The Mayfields. I believe that she thinks that she is the driver and the spotlight is on her. She has made statements against fans in general. There was a statement made that the last time Mayfield was in the 19 car that she wanted in to not bring the car in below position 38. That is why Everenham fired him. Also, I am sure that she was the one putting in ideas in Mayfield's head regarding Erin Crocker. Could we maybe say that Little Miss Mayfield was "jealous"..... Oh well, they got what they deserved.... Sitting out, licking their wounds for the rest of the season.. My heart goes out to Bill Davis and his wife. They are going to be dealing with troublemakers.

I believe mayfield has made a bad name for his self in cup racing, after 2 mid season dumps from 2 major teams. I don't think you will see jeremy in any high profile teams again.

I too feel for bill davis racing.
