| Vickers uninvited to Hendrick's post-practice meetings Golly, Gee wizz I wonder why. KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) - Brian Vickers, who is jumping from Hendrick Motorsports to Red Bull Racing after this season, said Friday that he has been uninvited to Hendrick's post-practice meetings. Nasty, Nasty bunch of people. ![]() "It's been going on for a while now," Vickers said after qualifying fourth for Sunday's Banquet 400. "I didn't really make a note of when it happened, so I couldn't tell you when." Jimmie Johnson, another Hendrick driver, said Vickers had handled the situation professionally - but also understood the team's position. "Brian's still heavily involved, but as we all know, there are few secrets in this sport. To have someone that is leaving and going to another race team involved with some of the detailed conversations about some of the cars and technology, wouldn't be smart on behalf of Hendrick Motorsports." ![]() |
