Sorry to hear about your misfortune but whatever you do never part with your Nascar collectibles because from experience you will regret it in the long run. Hope things turn around for you and your wife.

Re: trouble turn 4 !

That sux man. Hopefully, you arent too upside down in bills and can still keep your home, if you own one. I sold a bunch of my DE expensive stuff about a year ago to fund another hobby. It just didnt seem the same keeping it after his death. I still have a LOT of his other diecast, but sold the Crash Car, original 1995 87 and 88 C/W Aerocoupes, 85 Wrangler, 83 Wrangler and a couple others. I really don't miss them because they had always been boxed away in a closet. Just remember, if you do decided to sell DE items, they are worth a fraction of what they were before, and the first couple of years after his death. I found that out the hard way.

Re: trouble turn 4 !

That REALLY SUX! I know, I've been there. Be carefull what you sell. You may find that acouple hundred bucks will come in handy, but it goes so quickly. Several years ago I found myself without gainfull employment. I also had a wife, three young kids and a mortgage. Things got soooo bad that after I fed the kids breakfast, I had no clue what I was going to feed them for lunch. Honestly. I decided to hock my wife's and my wedding rings. I went to a jeweler and could have got over twice what I paid for them. But then the guy asked,"Are you SURE you want to do this?" So I didn't. And ya know what? My kids got something to eat, we made it through it. I lost alot of things. But we still have those 32+ year old rings. I guess what I'm trying to say is; Don't give up anything that you will regret later. It's hard to give up anything, but some things can be replaced and some things cannot.

it does suck they you pour your life into a company and your the 1st one they pull the rug from under, it could be worse my kids are health and happy for now
