That sentence pretty much sums it up and shows there is something dreadfully wrong with the points structure in Na$car. Martin could still win the title with no wins, and Kasey could possibly have as many as 8 or 9 and be second fiddle. That would be a travesty.

| Re: Should the Chasers Points be separate I think that with the 'Chase' there should only be 10 cars on the track. What's the point of anybody else being out there? Oh! I forgot $$$$$$$$$$ |

With the knowledge that I'll irritate a few I will once again make my case for consistency. There are 2 leagues in baseball with area divisions. When the playoffs start you have division winners playing with wild card teams. There is always a chance that a wild card team could win the entire world series. For the sake of discussion I ask is this fair? Keep in mind that it is completely possible for a wild card team to have a poorer record than one of the division winners. Sadly it is the way the system works whether we like it or not, both in baseball and NA$CAR.

| Re: Should the Chasers Points be separate How about letting the chase contenders have 100+ more horsepower than everyone else? Then they could pull away from those pesty team mates nipping at their heels. Let them all start in front and pull away from the rest. When all ten (well nine, shrub's growing season is over) lap the field throw one of nascars famous debris cautions and do it again. A few problems with this idea I know but you would have mainly two bunches of racing going on. Or how about force fields on the chase cars or each chase car carrying a clown to throw pies at the lowly non-chase what are THEY doing out here drivers windshields. Best wishes everone and have fun with your lives! Mike |

| Re: Should the Chasers Points be separate How bout the candya$$e$ in the chase take off their pink panties and race for a win. That's what Harvick and Burton are doing. Burton won a race and Harvick might have if his engine hadn't went south. Burton is atop the points standings and Harvick was. Then again... if Nascar went back to the old points format... those that points race might not.

| Re: Should the Chasers Points be separate I think Tony listens to his monkey for advice. If he don't want to race the contenders maybe he should get an organ grinders outfit and organ to sell peanuts at the race. But I bet the monkey would make him be the one with chain around his neck. |

What will the contenders do when they lap the field and then they find themselves right in the mess that you want them to avoid ??? Get rid of the chase and let them race for 36 races. |

| Re: Should the Chasers Points be separate I hear you LSC, just joking around, I agree with you let them race. But its so hard to do now. I thought the chase was a bad idea when it first came along and nothing has happened to change my mind. So if its a joke lets make it funny cause it stinks now. |
