Banquet 400 Discussion

Let's hear what you guys have to say about the upcoming Banquet400 race. The Banquet 400 presented by ConAgra Foods NASCAR race will be held at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS on October 1.

Also, make your race predictions in the official race prediction thread. We have a weekly contest to see who can pick the winners.

Use this thread to discuss the race, , how the Chase is spaping up, what ConAgra gets from their sponsorship, past NASCAR races at Kansas Speedway and anything else about the upcoming Banquet 400 race.

I really doubt the 48 team is happy with their 14th place finish after leading much of the race.

From where I come from........14th is a so-so finish at best. It may be good for Kvapil or Sorensen, but definately nothing to brag about. A top 5 is a good finish.

Re: Banquet 400 Discussion

Speaking of Johnson, NASCAR dot com says he finished on the lead lap? No way could he slow on the track, miss the pits, come around, pit for fuel, leave, and then get a drive through penalty and still finish on the lead lap.... right?

Did he even serve his penalty, if he didnt then he should get points taken

Re: Banquet 400 Discussion

I believe his penalty was to go to the end of the longest line. If that was the case then the race results seem to verify it. He was the last car on the lead lap.

Re: Banquet 400 Discussion

how could he go to the end of the longest line, when there wasn't a caution during that segment of the race.

maybe he didn't serve the penelty, I believe nascar gives you three laps to serve it, and there were 2 to go.

Re: Banquet 400 Discussion

If Johnson had to go to the end of the longest line I guess he still ends up 14th because I think thats how many cars were left on the lead lap. Right?

Re: Banquet 400 Discussion

Ok what you guys dont understand is that JJ got penalized and had to do a drive through penalty, not to the end of the longest line, there was no cautions for the last 75 laps so how do you get penalized to the rear when the caution hadnt even been thrown??
