Scanner not accept last digit ?

Our new to us scanner will not accept the last digit of certain frequencies? Getting ready to go to Dover! What am I doing wrong - its a Uniden Scanner, a basic model.

Thanks in advance

Re: Scanner not accept last digit ?

Re: Scanner not accept last digit ?

Making the likely reasonable assumption here it is the fourth digit after the decimal(?).

Just "played" with mine (scanner) for giggles. It will not accept anything other than a zero (0) or a five (5) for the fourth digit after the decimal.

Not to worry. The fourth digit after the decimal for NASCAR freqs is always either of the two (0 or 5). Fact is if you try to put something other than 5 or 0 in to mine, it reverts to a 5 or a 0.

Now having said all of that, if it is not the fourth digit after the decimal we're talking about - ignore all of the above.

Re: Scanner not accept last digit ?

Oops - one other thing - as another respondee noted, the Model number is indeed important. There are models that simply cannot work with digit four after the decimal.
