i think it would be cool if we did our own fantasy game kinda like we do in the football fourm, and like i do on ESPN: The Worldwide Leader In Sports.

on stockcarchallange at espn.go.com we pick 5 drivers and and you score the amount of points that all 5 of your drivers score in the race. and it is a 2 session deal. the first session is 26 races and the second session is the chase. the drivers you pick are worth different points depending on how they finish all year long. and you can not go over 100.0 points.

i think it would be cool if we could get our own thing goin on here for next year.

what do you all think???

MSN also has a fantasy league that you can enter. It also has the two sessions. You pick 4 drivers each week but you cannot pick any driver more than 4 times in the 18 race session. Points are awarded and bragging rights abound. Currently I am in the lead in my league for this session. For total points I am out of first by about 140 points.

I do agree that we should try to start a league with goteamgo members for next year. I'm in !!!

It's a great idea and something I've been hoping to add to the site. Just so you know, I've been looking around for several months for a way to integrate fantasy picks or a pickem contest into GoTeamsGo. There are some software packages out there but I've not found the right one yet.

I ran out of time to get something automated on the NFL pickem contest so simple simon is running that all by hand for now. You can check that out over here:

Even if I can automate this, we'll still need 1-2 people to help run the contest & kinda act as the commissioners. When we get a little closer, let me know if you can help out every week.

Also, Ross, how aboput this idea for a contest we could have now?

Everyone pick the top ten finishers in exact order. At season's end, the person with the most exact correct picks gets... whatever you deem a deserving prize.

1st tie breaker...person getting highest finishing position correct, 2nd tie breaker, person getting second highest finishing psition correct
3rd...... you get the picture.

How about the winner gets to fight the spammers for a day & I get to just chat about whatever sports I want for that day? lol, that wouldn't be fun for anybody except me

We'll come up with a good prize. You guys want to brainstorm on how to make it work? It would be best if we can somehow use this to encourage new members to signup and to also get/keep people active.

In the first segment on msn I was 23 positions out of over all, but went downhill in the last 4 races.

we should definetly do something where you cant pick the same drivers 2 weeks in a row, and maybe like a three car team each week.

that will keep one or two people from getting the dream teams.

make new picks avilible around lunch time on wed or something.
