| Toyota in 2007 Hi all, Has anyone heard anything solid about the Toyota cars coming in next season? I'm just wondering what kinds of speeds/track times they're getting, and if they're really going to be competitive... |

The major difference will be that the logo'd car will have Toyota money behind it and Toyota is in the habit of being a winner. It will also break the ice for the Honda or Nissan entrance in 2009, and IF (massive "if" there) NASCAR continues to grow, Mercedes shortly after that. Don't you just love all this diversity?

| Re: Toyota in 2007 Boy, that kinda puts it all in perspective... It's hard to see NASCAR not growing. Seems to me more & more (and more diverse, as well... for better or worse) people are finding their way to the sport. |

I am also not above making outlandish statements merely to encourage conversation and exchange of thought. To "Stir the puddin''" so to speak. |

About the same time someone enters an East German Tabi? Actually, what I believe would be a crowd pleaser would be for NA$CAR to drop the pretext of stock car bodies completely. Have all the teams configure their cars to mimic the Oscar-Meyer Weinermobile, and race those. The France family should get copius amount of advertising money from Oscar-Meyer, the drivers would be safer (Nothing safer than being stuck inside an oversized hotdog), and the fans'd geta kick out of it. A win/win proposition for everyone? |

Actually that might be a good idea. At least I'd have a justifiable reason to give up on the sport (?). |

| Re: Toyota in 2007 To expand on Bob & LSC's comments, maybe we should rename the Car of Tomorrow as the "Weinermobile" There's a hundred jokes in there for Leno & Letterman.

I'd really like to see the primadonas...Oops my bad, drivers, complain about the aero push on a Weinermobile. Maybe we could get back to the traditional (oops again. Sorry NA$CAR, I forgot, "Tradition" is a naughty word) race-stopper girls. They did away with Miss Herst Shifter and Miss Winston. Maybe we could have a comeback with Jeffie-Pooh getting a congratulatory kiss in Victory Lane from Miss Weiner? I'm sure there are some who would see that as being appropriate. |
