| GM Goodwrench out for 07? Looks like GM Goodwrench will not be sponsoring the #29 car in 2007. That is big news since they have been with RCR since the late 80s with the late great Dale Earnhardt. As Bob Dylan said, "The times they are a changin" From Jayski.com......... Sponsor change on the #29? hearing that GM Goodwrench will not return as the primary sponsor of Kevin Harvick's #29 RCR Chevy in 2007, supposedly Reese's/Hershey's will return as a co-sponsor and a gasoline and lubricant supplier would be the other co-primary.(9-16-2006) Jayski's® Silly Season Site - Team Pages - #29 (was #3)

Maybe they want a driver that has a better image to the fans. Obviously Kevin has done well enough to get into the chase this year but I don't see him as a major fan favorite. |

| Re: GM Goodwrench out for 07? well GM used to be on a truck(skinner) busch car (dei-dale)and of course the #3 winston cup car. 1st they dropped the trucks then they dropped the busch series, but did pick up harvicks trucks for a while, then dropped them again. 2006 a split season with reeses cup. remember when we had GM(CHEVY) MOTOR CRAFT (ford) and ford credit(ford) sponsors, we still have dodge but no fear toyota will be here soon enough to stomp out the last bit of american out of nascar

I hope I am wrong on this one but I think it is a possibility that FoMoCo's involvement with NASCAR and racing in general might be history within a couple of years. I have some ideas as to why this last prophecy may become a real possibility but I don't feel like getting any death threats today (metaphorically speaking!!! This group has far more class than to drop to that level) so I'll keep quiet.
