Not all Jr's fans are like that. I sat in a sea of Jr's fans at Dega. Yeah they booed Gordon... but it was mainly when He was introduced. After that they were more interested in how Jr was doin.

Jr fans can be annoying but funny sometimes. I laugh on how Jr fans throw a fit when he wrecks or someone beats him. But Dupont4five is right, Jr fans seem more interested in booing Gordon instead of Jr. But hey, when you are a Jr fan and a rookie like Hamlin has owned him this year, you have nothing else to do than to boo Gordon.

I've only been to a NASCAR race once, I thought they were funny. I was setting next to a group of Jr fans they were enjoying their Bud's and rooting for Jr each time he went by. Very noisy, but as I watched my guy move up thur the pack and just befor he was passing Jr I called it to their attention. So much fun. They never booed anyone.

Wow, yuo guys are lucky, I know of alot of Gordon fans who got attacked by Jr. fans after the '04 Dega race.

IMNSVHO, far too many folks seem to live their lives vicariously through their sports heros. NA$CAR, being a personality-driven sport, is ripe for this type of fan.

Yes, there is a big difference between violence and bashing. The point is, some take being a fan of certain drivers to extremes. At the track, it can be violent...........behind a keyboard, it's semi-contained anger, which ruins the fun for some, fuels it for others.

I just defend my driver, I think I have the right to do that, Jeff takes the MOST abuse then any other driver in this sport.
