| Sheetmetal from Busch race I'm new here and new to NASCAR, and this may be a pointless search I'm on but I retrieved a piece of sheetmetal from the pits after the crews had cleared out from the Busch race in Richmond on 9/8, and I don't know what car it is from. It was located in one of the pit areas closest to the entrance, so may I assume that is someone at the back of the field? It is red with a Raybestos decal and a Sunoco decal. Looking up detailed paint schemes online has not been very fruitful so I thought I'd check here. TIA |

Sounds like we're tryiing to figure out which of 30 puzzles a stray puzzle piece came from Can you take a picture & post it here? That would help everybody get started helping you.

| Re: Sheetmetal from Busch race Very cool. Maybe we should turn this into a contest?

| Re: Sheetmetal from Busch race I could not find a map - I watched a bunch of video to try and spot the car but of course they were going by too quickly. I feel like a knucklehead for not trying to ID it at the track when I could have asked someone. Hopefully this won't be my last time in the pits and I can do better, lol. I'm totally spoiled now. |

| Re: Sheetmetal from Busch race Looks like it came from the #25 Ashton Lewis "Marines" car. He got spun around and then hit in the nose around lap 200 something... NASCAR.com : drivers & teams : drivers |

Now I'm off to Michael's to see about some sort of wall-hanger display for this piece of history, otherwise it'll wind up on a shelf in the shed, doomed for the dump.... I knew I was coming to the right place for some help with a seriously obscure question. |
