Do I smell Championship #5

How can the march of Gordon toward yet another championship somehow be relegated below whether or not Kasey Kahne makes the Chase at all? How can it somehow draw less interest than whether or not Mark Martin will pull off another “one more year” shuffle? How can Jimmie Johnson, who has played Robin to Gordon’s Batman, all of sudden get the Master Bruce treatment from Alfred?

The fact is Jeff has collected the MOST points since the first Michigan race. He has the most bonus points and has finished in the top 5 three straight, hasnt finished below 16th since the Pepsi 400. We gonna be great in the final 10 races and no ones gonna stop ol' Wonderboy and his Rainbow Warriors.

Re: Do I smell Championship #5

I don't think he has Kenseth or Harvick covered. I think right now those 2 are the guys to beat.

I agree with Kenseth, he has been strong, but not Harvick,he has been lacking since his Glen win.

I agree with Dupont4five. The only legimate threat that Gordon has right now is Kesneth. I think Gordon can win the Nextel Cup Championship this year, but first he has to make the Chase. Go Hendrick Motorsports!

There seems to be a relatively easy answer to that question. Jeff is more than likely in the chase, has won championships already and is not a fan favorite. Kasey on the other hand is fighting to get in, has 5 victories for the year and probably has a wider (maybe not more) fan base. We always cheer for the underdog.

How was all that Grandma ????

Oh Dupey... Your boy will most like seal the deal tonite....but if he gets a DNF tonite is he still in? I just can't seem to forget what he did to Kenseth earlier this year. Wouln't this be the perfect race to return the favor?? What are they gonna do to Kenseth on a first offense? Take away 25 points and Matt will write a check?

I am not encouraging this type of sportsmanship.... I am just throwing it out there...What if????

I guess around 11-11:30 tonite...I will check back with ya'....HAVE A GREAT NIGHT EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, if Matt decides to run Jeff over tonight, fine. Thats just fine, but you better knew that MATT WILL NOT WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP, Jeff will crash him in every race from New Hampshire to Homestead and he wouldn't care about the points, fines, probabtion or even suspensions because he wouldnt be able to win the championship anyway. Matt isnt that stupid, as far as Jeff and most know it, this fued is over, but if Matt does decided to do something stupid, hell will come to him

Re: Do I smell Championship #5

The way Na$car lets him dump guys out of the way (Probation? What's that?), and seems to always throw a caution (what debri?) when he is in danger of going a lap down........you may be right.

NASCAR didnt throw a caution when Jeff blow his tires at Martinsville or Texas, neither did they throw caustion when Jeff went laps down at Charlotte, Indy, etc. NASCAR favors Morgan Shepard and Kirk Shelberdin

He's got nothing to loose.....let's keep an eye on him tonite...OK?

Are we having fun yet? Ain't it cool?

Whoa there...they didn't throw a caution when Johnson's tire blew either....not right away like they should have!!!! Saved him from going a lap down.....sometimes no caution is to a drivers benefit....Who do they favor??
