But I do question Phoenix and Texas, those 2 tracks may not be good for Gordon. Gordon was running great early in the race, then Steve called for a adjustment or whatever, and the race went downhill for Jeff Gordon since then. I look back at Bristol and Watkins Glen, if he had completed those finishes without being spon and finishing back in 21st and 13th, he would have a better spot in the Chase right now, but we will never know. I think atleast 8 races will be good for Gordon, with Phoneix and Texas being my 2 question marks.
It sucks too cause im heading to the Pheonix race, all we can do is pray. Talladega, Kansas, Martinsville, Homestead and Atlanta are gonna be good races though.

Re: Do I smell Championship #5

Gordon is in now, everyone should just give it up. This will be one of the best strech of 10 races in his career. I smell championship #5 baby, tonight was a race this team will use as fuel to take them through the chase.

I think he pretty much showed what he had last night. He's lucky just to make the chase.

Realistically this has been a bad track for him for the last 5 races there. They are all bunched up with points now so the next 10 will tell the story.

I know I'll be rooting against the Blowes Driver Johnson...THat is all I care about. As long as Johnson (You know what a Johnson is right?) doesn't win CHampionship I'll be happy.

Gordon has not done good at Richmond, so we don't know what Gordon exactly has yet. I am feeling good though, review the 10 tracks for Gordon, and he is good at them with the 2 question marks for me being Texas and Phoenix, but other than that Gordon nation should feel good about Gordon's chances on winning the championship this year.

The fact is Jeff has collected the MOST points since the first Michigan race. He has the most bonus points and has finished in the top 5 three straight, hasnt finished below 16th since the Pepsi 400. We gonna be great in the final 10 races and no ones gonna stop ol' Wonderboy and his Rainbow Warriors.
I think Batman better let Alfred or Robin drive because if Gordon drives like he did last night it will turn out like Jeremy Mayfield, get in chase and stay 10th for next 10 races.

LOL! Gordon has a history of not being good at Richmond, so its really not a surprise he didn't do good if you ask me. But review the 10 races, Gordon will be a serious contender for this championship. So are you under-estimating him?

I am not under-estimating Gordon. I just don't think he and his crew chief are on the same page. They have too many issues, regardless of his past history on the final 10 tracks. Letart is a 'tard!.

I have to agree, especially how Letarte messed up the car last night. Gordon had a top 5 top 10 car all night and Letarte called for a adjustment to it and it messed up the car. Letarte should take some of the blame for Gordon's performance last night because of that adjustment.

The fact is Stevie has no friggin clue how to adjust Jeffs cars in the Flat tracks (Loudon, Richmond, Phoenix). Steve has done awesome at the restrictor plates, intermediates, shorts and road cources but defintely not the mile flats. If we can sneek top 15s at those tracks this Championship is ours
