Dale was a power in NASCAR and NASCAR listened to him as it did to no other driver. It was Dale and Childress who got NASCAR to widen the rear of the old Lumina. Dale Sr had a history of many run-ins with Mike Helton and was known to go over his head directly to Bill Jr.

I concur. That's why this explosion of BS from Brian France and Co. has really pi$$ed me off. They wouldn't dare pull half of the crap they are pulling today if Sr was still racin. Cause he would march in and set them straight.

I think Kasey Kahne will need a driver to have a bad night, which I think will be Mark Martin. He dosen't have the momentum right now, and I believe Kahne is in the top 10 and Martin falls out of the top 10. So yes, I think Kasey Kahne makes the Chase.

by Bob Pockrass RICHMOND, Va. – Somebody is getting punted tonight. Somebody is getting shoved right out of the Chase.
The race tonight at Richmond International Raceway won’t be a clean one like Bristol. Somebody is going down. Somebody is going to have his season ruined by just some good, hard racing at Richmond.
With nine guys vying for eight spots before the Chase begins next week, there is going to be a driver who isn’t going to be willing to give up a position to a faster car. Every driver has a list of enemies, and at one time, that enemy will be behind a Chase contender.
The drivers can talk all they want about respecting each other and knowing they will have to let someone by if they are faster. There will be a silent code of conduct that a Chase guy should get a little extra room.
But too many of the drivers not in the Chase need to prove themselves. They need a good finish almost as bad as those Chase contenders. They may just make a mistake that ruins the hopes of the one of the top drivers this year.
OK, OK, you want a prediction of who is going to get nailed? Let’s go with Kasey Kahne. He’s the guy who can’t afford to lose the most. He’ll be the guy blocking at all costs.
We will see tonight if the guy with all the pressure will end up with the most bent-up sheet metal.
Here’s hoping it doesn’t happen. Here’s hoping that it’s a clean race.

First off...let me tell you I did TOUCH that lnk that said DO NOT TOUCH...I'm uncontrollable.

2nd.....I really, really want KK to do well tonite. But in the back of my mind I am reserving the option that if he does not get in the Chase I hope there is an uproar that wake Bill France from the grave!!
