Oh yes Grandma I do agree with you but...... Winning the race doesn't make a champion and when one driver dominates the year many fans tend to get pi$$ed off because no one else is winning. I know you'd be tickled pink if Kasey won more races . Personally I'm OK with someone different winning races all the time. I guess maybe what I need to say is that for "ME" consistency is more important than victories. Also, if you are consistent then the victories will come by themselves. How many champions have been consistent versus occassional winners of races.

I've said it before and I'll say it again I do in fact respect everyones point of view on each and every subject. It may not be the same as mine and it really is OK if you all are wrong !!!!!

Honestly we all need to express our views and what we believe to be the correct way or the solution to a problem.

I've enjoyed reading this thread and the opinions of everyone. It is annoying. I was watching the race Sunday and seeing Kasey's points bounce all over the place based on his and other's position. I think consistency and winning can both be rewarded, but I'm not holding my breath that NASCAR will change anything ever unless it benefits them.

I also enjoy this thread. The subject has surfaced several times since GTG started and it seems that one area we haven't ventured into is how would you change the system to make it better reflect how the team does on any given week??

I believe that years ago diifferent points were awarded at different racks. Somewhere along the way NASCAR decided to make all the points equal for all the tracks. That system stayed in place for many years and then the "France Chase" came into being. The best thing that did was add more money to the pockets of the France family.

So .... what are your ideas of changes ???
