ironically, it's such a little thing, but it can make a big difference in results. what is that, you ask? well, it's the placement of the transponder on the chassis. evidently Helio's was farther back on the chassis than Scott's so, even though he reached/crossed the stripe first, his transponder didn't. I suspect their rules are a lot like our late model rules: the transponder has to be between x and y inches in front of the rear axle (or behind the front axle). even though the difference in x and y are only a couple inches .. well, you know the rest... |
