Firestone introduced a new left-side compound for its Firehawks on superspeedways, which will be used this weekend at Kansas Speedway. It's designed to have more grip. The right-side compound is unchanged from 2007. … Helio Castroneves leads all IndyCar Series drivers with 23 career pole starts, but his best start at Kansas Speedway is third last year. Castroneves is the only driver to finish in the top five in all three Indy Racing League-sanctioned races this season. ...
