First Michael Jordan, now NASCAR's Jim France is sinking his teeth into motorcycle racing. Earlier this month, the American Motorcycle Association sold its professional racing arm to Daytona Motorsports Group an organization headed by France. It's a deal racers, track owners and promoters call historic. "We will see if it's a blessing or a curse," CEO Roger Edmondson said with a laugh. "With (France's) backing this can't fail." The deal includes all the racing series except supercross and arenacross, which have contacts with Live Nation until 2019. DMG plans on negotiating with Live Nation about honoring the contract and having the AMA "step aside." DMG will gradually take over the road racing series this season and the rest of the classes next year.
