Making me watch F1. All the talk here had me watching the season opener. Granted, I watched for about an hour, taped the rest, and caught the balance in the morning!

I had been catching it here and there, just to pass the time, and mostly on replays.

Some of my impressions, after about a year of casual watching.

WOW, can these cars handle. I just sit wide eyed watching these cars handle the turns. It is almost like they record them, and play it at a fast speed. I'm just stunned at how they stick, and accelerate through the corner.

I can see now why folks don't like NASCAR road courses, they just look pathetic after watching the ballet that is F1 racing.

Anyway, I'm gonna stick with it, as best I can, with the late hours. I might just tape em, and catch em the next day, but I may just be making a habit out of this!

I agree .. it won't seem right not to see the horse at the front battling for podiums. But then they've been at it for a long time and have a knack for getting the bugs worked out...

It's amazing all the different types of racing you can get interested in. For instance I actually had the pleasure of attending a lawn mower race about 15-20 years ago! And I came away addicted! But my then other half put her foot down: I was NOT going to soup up the MTD! (That's not why she's now "ex", but it didn't help!)
