With the Formula One season set to begin this weekend in Australia, F1 officials have altered the rulebook in part to put more emphasis on the driver. The biggest change is that teams have one standardized electronic control unit that eliminates the traction control, launch control and engine braking system. That means that instead of hitting a button to start the race, the driver with the best reaction time (and the one who can avoid spinning his tires too much) will have an advantage.
