i know its early but im excited ..... it was just announced on TV that Kevin Harvick will be in Maine July 20th for the TD Banknorth 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway

years ago i remember the always said the Oxford 250 was the largest short track race in the nation ..... not sure if it was true or not .... i would think LSC and maybe PPS have heard of it

they usually do attract atleast one big name to the race ..... Morgan Shepard has done it several times

I had never heard of it until it was mentioned on another racing forum a couple years ago. I checked it out and sure enough, for shear numbers of competitors, it's gotta be the largest: 250+ entrants is way more than I've every seen for any other event. However, when I looked at the list of entrants, all but 2 or 3 were from the North East - it just doesn't seem to pull from the rest of the country; not like Speedweeks, or World Series of Stock Car Racing or the Snowball Derby. Still, it's gotta be a great event with that many entrants!
