Lewis Hamilton has taken another swipe at former McLaren team mate Fernando Alonso ahead of the start of the 2008 season.



"He showed me just how not to behave as an F1 driver," Hamilton said. "He was the leader at the start but it changed. We should be a team together and it should be equal."

While Alonso returned to Renault, Hamilton has a new team mate in Heikki Kovalainen, the Finn who is already saying he can beat Hamiltion this season.

"I just like fairness and I want Heikki to have the same opportunities as me," Hamilton added. "If he does and I beat him, that's the reward."

I admit to not knowing the full story here, but based on the above quotes I'm beginning to like this kid. In fact, this may inspire me to arise early and watch some F1.

The psychological warfare has begun already.
Bob you'd very be very wrong to think that Hamilton is some inocent nice guy. If he would have "wanted equality" he wouldn't have started the Hungaroring incident, nor would he have accepted Alonso's setup, telemetry and inboard video footage. Hamilton is an animal hungry for blood/victory just like Alonso, Schumacher, Senna.

Not (just) for the money (while that helps), even moreso for "the right to win". Since 1980, minus some exceptions, allmost all WDCs were in one way or another @$*****$, and it looks like future ones too.
