Double take! Romain Grosjean won the second GP2 Asia race at Dubai to sweep the weekend, and build a commanding points lead.

Grosjean wins Race 1

Romain Grosjean has won the maiden event in the GP2 Asia Series held at Dubai. With the win,the Frenchman leads the championship with Bruno Senna and Andy Soucek following.

Grosjean grabbed the pole position earlier in the day and managed to lead the entire race. Behind Grosjean, Senna and Soucek provided the crowd a great show. The Spaniard passing the Brazilian on the first lap, but Senna fought back pressuring Soucek. By mid race Soucek was struggling with tires and Senna, who never gave up, finally got past the Spaniard with four laps to go. Senna then set the fastest lap time, but Grosjean was too far ahead to catch.

Grosjean grabs Race 2

Starting eighth, Romain Grosjean snatched his second victory in an action-packed sprint race. He had an excellent start and managed to emerge turn 1 in 5th. By lap 4, Buemi, Puglisi and Filippi had retired and he restarted 4th. Passing Chandhok at turn 1 on the restart, he then overtook Yoshimoto then caught and passed race leader Fauzy. Karun Chandhok finished 3rd.
