| Red Bull launch new car Confident Red Bull launch new car David Coulthard tests the new car Mark Webber is confident Red Bull can solve the reliability issues that blighted their 2007 season after launching their new car for 2008. Webber helped unveil the RB4 in Spain ahead of test sessions in preparation for the opening grand prix on 16 March. "Of course, you want a fast car, but you want a reliable one too," he said. "This year the car should be a damn sight better than last year, but then it's not too hard to improve on what we did last year." Australian Webber and team-mate David Coulthard endured 10 retirements between them because of mechanical failure last season. Half of the team's technical retirements last year were suffered in the opening five races and Webber insists his team must start the next campaign strongly. He added: "If you break down on lap one or two laps from the end then it's very, very frustrating for everybody, including the driver, if you have technical problems. "I hope our starting point is at a stronger level. As BMW showed, that can carry you through the first 70 per cent of the championship, and then you scrabble your way home. "So we need a much better performance from the start, and while we are optimistic, in this industry talk is very cheap. Red Bull ended the season in good shape as they continued to adapt to the arrival of former McLaren chief technical director Adrian Newey. Webber was on the verge of scoring his second podium of the year at the Japanese Grand Prix, before being involved in a crash with Sebastian Vettel. During the same race, Coulthard finished 4th. With Newey now in his second season, team boss Christian Horner says he is "pretty confident" the team have addressed the problems that beset their 2007 campaign. "Our goal now is to build on the momentum we saw at the end of last year. "We've a group now working more cohesively, and the performance steps we saw at the end of last year is at least where we are looking to start from with the current car." The team, meanwhile, have confirmed 19-year-old Swiss Sebastien Buemi as their test driver for this year.

| Re: Red Bull launch new car The infrastructure, quality and control they got when they bought the former Jaguar F1/former Stewart F1 isn't exactly top notch. Onto the car, Adrian Newey needs to be "brought back to Earth" sometimes, and Geoff Willis might just be the man to do it. |
