| Re: "Speed Racer" the movie I watched a bit of the trailer... I recognized John Goodman. I don't see it going down in history as one of the more acclaimed film epics. It looks like something which might rank in there with such auto-oriented flicks as "Knight Rider" (which brought us the irrepressible David Hasselhoff), "Back to the Future #'s I, II. III. and IV, (I thought the Delorean had the best lines). And who can forget "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai in the 8th Dimension?" (very, very forgettable) If it's the type of movie you enjoy, that's OK but it looks like something I'll take a pass on.

The rest... Hanna & Barbara's "Huckleberry Hound" was the first TV cartoon I remember (1958 or 1959) which wasn't either Warner Brothers or Disney created. I was never a cartoon kind of kid. I don't know why but it was a genre I never got into. |

| Re: "Speed Racer" the movie Bob .. .we were way to busy being kids who entertained ourselves. Sometimes it included mischievous deeds and then there were the times we had to mow the lawn ... by hand. We didn't even have a TV until I was 8-9 years old. My parents got it so we'd stay home. Then we only had three channels. Ahhhh the memories !!!
