| James turns fastest lap in Daytona testing Ian James drove the Michael Shank Racing Ford Riley to the fastest time during the second round of Rolex Series tests at the Daytona International Speedway. His time of 1:41.555 seconds, or 126.198 miles per hour, set the pace in two timed sessions on Saturday. An evening session will conclude the day's activities. " The guys have been working hard all day long," James said. "We have been chipping away at different stuff. We made some big shock changes this morning, and the car is really good to drive now." Scott Pruett timed second fastest at 126.172 mph and he was pleased with the continued consistency of the Target Lexus Riley fielded by Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates. I use her to drag the race car and all it's "support stuff" to the track and to run the occasional errand. since I retired she mostly sits enjoying her retirement too - before I retired the last time I was hauling stuff, mostly new auto body parts, and putting 80K a year on her. I think we're both glad that phase of our life is over!

| Re: James turns fastest lap in Daytona testing I don't tow a whole lot, but when I do it is a 14x7 enclosed motorcycle trailer. I prefer to ride, but when my Dad and I go to Charlotte for the fall race, we are gonna take the bikes down. I hope they do the ride from the track to Victory Junction this year after the race, since that is the only reason I plan on takling em! The 4WD is nice for the winter! |
