Here's a driver with the right understanding of his job...


Giancarlo Fisichella has stated that he is not willing to bring a budget with him in order to race in Formula 1. According to the media in India the Force India F1 team is about to announce the signing of the Italian.

Fisichella was dropped by the Renault F1 team at the end of last season but has yet to announce his future plans. In order to clear up some things Fisichella said in a three-point statement at his website: 1, I do not pay to drive, I get paid to drive. 2, I do not bring sponsors to the team, the team brings sponsors to me. 3, If I had 10 million bucks I'd stay home and watch F1 on tv!

Fisichella entered Formula 1 in 1996 with the Minardi F1 team.

Hmmm...??? Seems as though I heard that Childress had a sponsor deal in his back pocket for a fourth team but was waiting for the right driver opportunity... Two years in NA__AR and Giancarlo'd have his $10 million.
