| Racing generates $2.3B in Florida economy The International Speedway Corp. brings more than race enthusiasts to the Sunshine State. An economic impact analysis conducted by the Coral Gables-based Washington Economics Group shows the Daytona Beach-based company pumps $2.3 billion into the Florida economy. ISC's Florida operations include Daytona International Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway, as well as ISC's headquarters and those of the NASCAR and Grand American Road Racing series. -- South Florida Business Journal Racing generates $2.3B in Florida economy - South Florida Business Journal: |

| Re: Racing generates $2.3B in Florida economy Quote:
ISC and SMI (Bruton Smith) own 50% of MotorSports Authentics each. Last summer they named Mark Dyer, former Vice President in charge of Licensing and Consumer Products to be president and CEO of the operation. He answers to a board comprised of Lesa France Kennedy from ISC and Marcus Smith from SMI, and two others. Motorsports Authentics is now also Action Performance, the company (formerly owned by Dale and Teresa, I believe) which makes the toy cars. The "indirect" part probably is an oblique reference to the business management group that ISC uses to manage its in-house investments and operations not directly involved in competition.
