15 Year Old Zach Stroupe set For Snowflake 100

5 Flags Speedway

In their rookie season in the competitive Super and Pro Late Model ranks of the Southeast in 2007, 15-year-old Zach Stroupe and the BDI Racing team have learned many lessons and gained a good bit of knowledge about the competitive world of that particular brand of racing. With front-row starting spots, heat race victories and consistently fast runs throughout, the BDI Racing team has accomplished all but one of their goals during the 2007 season.

Zach Stroupe and team BDI want to succeed during the crown jewel of the short track racing season, the Snowflake 100, part of the 40th Annual Snowball Derby weekend at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL on November 29th-December 2nd. Stroupe will pilot the Lone Star Steakhouse of Pensacola / Hertz of Pensacola #51 Chevrolet in the 100-lap Snowflake 100 on Saturday, December 1st, a race that has been on the young driver’s mind since he began his Late Model career earlier this season.

“This has been a pretty good season for us, but we’ve been building to the Derby weekend and the Snowflake 100 all year,” said Stroupe. “(BDI Racing Owner) Bob (Dillner) has been telling me all about the years that he’s gone to the Snowball Derby and just how exciting and big the whole weekend it. So we’ve all been pretty excited to finish off our season at Pensacola. Being around the Late Model world more this year, you really get a sense of the tradition of the Snowflake and the whole Snowball weekend.”
