Michigan International Speedway has announced its 2008 Sprint Cup Series race dates.
The current Nextel Cup Series will return to Michigan for two race weekends next year on June 15 and Aug. 17.
"We have great momentum heading into the second half of this season and into next year," track President Roger Curtis said. "Much of this is largely based on the number of improvements that we made at the facility, the partnerships that we are making with the surrounding communities and at the state level and in the extensive time we've taken to talk to the fans. We're dedicated to making Michigan International Speedway the premier motorsports venue in the Midwest showcasing the very best in motorsports entertainment."
