Drags and round & roundies are completely different animals. I've seen racers from all different venues switch with one degree of success and another. F1/Grand Prix to stock cars and vice versa; motorcycles to stock cars (never saw that one go the other way). However, I can think of only one drag racer who made the transition to oval tracks and back (Danny Ongais), and two who went from ovals to drags and back (Richard Petty and John Andretti).

I see that Tony Pedregon and (I think) Larry Dixon are going to run dirt late models for Tony Stewart on June 6th. IMNSVHO, THAT could easily prove to be a fiasco.

seems to me it's not a matter of whether Ashley should or should not make the jump, but that she needs to stick around long enough that forceracingchick<3 gets a chance to compete head to head with her. I don't think Ashley will hold her breath waiting for forceracingchick<3 and I doubt when she gets there Ashley will be concerned about the competition...

Gary Scelzi and Ron Capps have both driven them, and from what I understand Capps is decent! Just like with NASCAR, these folks don't always end up where they started! Look at Robby Gordon! I don't think they are threats for the title, but with some practice, they might not embarrass themselves!
