Re: Halak gets the start I believe in going with your starters win or lose unless it's crunch time which would be being down 3-1 but we'll see. Maybe Price is hurting? Maybe he told Carbo to start Halak? (unlikely) whatever the case, that's why he's the coach and i'm here typing silly posts on my computer. That's Jaroslav by the way. My mistake

| Re: Halak gets the start There, had to eat my breakfast before writing more. Halak did not look that great to me. I think Price is just fine, too, which makes me shake my head at this choice - but Carbonneau's the coach. A very tough game to watch. The final minute was just maddening. the better team is winning. As much as the Oley Oleys bug me, i am so happy to get back to Montreal. Hometown crowd cheering them on. Let's show some spark. What's with this second round? NYR, SJ, Avs and now the Habs all losing what they once had and giving us short series - I need my hockey to go into June!!

Re: Halak gets the start There was some talk last night from Al Morganti (former ESPN NHL writer). that Price may have an injury to his hand, sustained when it was hit during that goal in game 2. That could explain his so-so play with that glove hand, and also be the real reason why he didn't start game 4. or finish game 3. Amy gossip of that North of the border, or do you think that is just talk?

Re: Halak gets the start Yeah, the Hab's primary french language broadcaster, RDS reported that his glove hand was injured on a Mike Richards slash or whatever you want to call it during game 2.

Re: Halak gets the start Strange that isn't getting more play here. No one is talking about it at all. I've even checked some Toronto papers and searched the net, but not much is being said about it. Wonder if they will start him in Game 5.

Re: Halak gets the start well, I think Carbonneau is trying to keep it as quiet as possible but obviously it's not working that well. Price is on the record saying that he isn't 100%, yet at a press conference tonight, Carbo said very adamantly that Price is not injured. I don't buy it. He's hurting or else he would've played last game. As for Saturday, I think Price will play. He'll have a couple days rest and if it's still hurting than freeze it or ice it or just get out there and play well. I'm about a centimeter from giving up but can't just yet. I'm gonna miss the first period saturday due to a baseball tourney so maybe if I don't watch the first bit, They'll come alive......or not. Such a frustrating series and team, those Flyers.

Re: Halak gets the start Well, I get off work at 6, and get home about 6:40, so I might miss the opening face off myself! Feed the dog, let him out, get the mail, fix dinner. I'm hoping that by the time I settle down, it will be well in hand. But what is well in hand??? Two goal leads aren't safe, and even a 3 goal lead had me sweating at the end. This series is turning my gray hair white!
