Today's game against the Maple Leafs is crucial for the Canadiens. They're currently in ninth place in the East, one point behind the Atlanta Thrashers, and they've gone 10-5-3 record over the last 18 games. I think tonight will go a long way towards telling us whether the Habs are a playoff team or not. What do all of you think?

yeah it's pretty much a do it or die game for the leafs. after last game, who is going to show up tonight?
exciting? yeah - unless the score turns into 5-1 again with no chance of coming back and stupid penalties.

A win over the Isles tonight and a New Jersey loss to Ottawa, and the Habs will find themselves alone in 7th place in the Eastern Conference. And they're only two points behind Tampa Bay for the #6 seed.
