| Huet is still the man, but it was obvious he need a game off after the game in Philly. I know they had a long break before this road trip, but good teams use their back up Goalies efficiently. I know Denis is young, and it is kinda scary to put him out there at this point in the season, but you have to think long term... if you are a habs fan ... and I am.

Unstoppable? Well, despite the acquisition of a new "starting" goaltender, Huet continues to be hot. In his 13th straight start, Huet earned his fifth shutout of the season yesterday in a 1-0 win over the New York Rangers. Furthermore, he has not allowed a goal in 131 minutes, 19 seconds and has led Montreal to an 8-1-3 record in their last 12 games. Make sure you get nice and comfy there on the bench, Mr. Aebischer, cause you're going to be there a while!

Re: Unstoppable? Huet collected his sixth shutout since Feb. 2 yesterday in Montreal's 2-0 win over the Islanders. He had 36 saves on the evening, and the crowd even started chanting him name during the game! No doubt he's going to be "the man" in goal for the Canadiens for many years to come. The kid's simply been awesome.

I watched most of that game last night. The Isles had some great opportunities (including a 5 minute power play) but just couldn't get the puck passed him. Not only that but he made it look easy. He was smooth as can be.

Re: Cristobal Huet I just can't get enough of this story. The latest? Huet earned his 7th shutout of the season (in 32 games) and his 3rd straight blanking of the Boston Bruins on Saturday, stopping 32 shots in the process. Even though he's started so few games, is he a legit Vezina Trophy candidate?
