Dryden and Savard see numbers retired

29 and 18.
Dryden gets to watch it happen in Jan, savard in November.
The guys i remember as the greatest canadiens and now all their numbers are rising to the rafters. Touching.
Looks good, or maybe not for Dryden - he's running to be the leader of the Liberal party up here. It'll either be a great respectful nod toward him or people will say, hey he's just a hockey player.

Hey savard was just fined almost $1100 and had his driver's license suspended for a year. - he hit two cars two years ago while driving impaired.
bad timing.

Maybe they'll hoist his drivers licence up with his jersey?

Dryden should have had it retired a long time ago...and Liberal huh?...Same guy that left hockey once on a whim to be a Law Clerk?...Sounds about right...

Great player...hated him...he robbed Boston of a Cup his rookie year...

Yes...Columbus was not always around ya know...So I use to cheer for Bobby Orr (didn't get much of his career and as a kid Hockey was not televised much in Florida...though I spent time in NYC)...and then the Bruins of the early 80's to mid 90's.

I think Dryden was great...I just hated him against the Bruins that's all...We had Gary Cheevers...the guy with the scars on his mask...he was okay...but he was no Dryden.

of course, how could I forget your worship of the almighty hero they call Orr?

Dryden was the smartest hockey player around. he's a pretty smart politician too -also, honest.

Yeah...his outside interests is what shorten that glorious career of his...I think some where in the early 70's he also didn't sign for a spell to and got himself some $30K a year law job...He always seem like he could take or leave the game without much problem.
