| Dogs check into Peabody Dec. 23 Mississippi State players wishing to wake up at home on Christmas morning are more than welcome to do so, coach Sylvester Croom has joked, but they won't get to play in the Dec. 29 Liberty Bowl. While Central Florida is waiting until Dec. 26 to report to Memphis, State will report on Sunday night, Dec. 23, and begin practice on Christmas Eve morning. The first order of business is an early-evening meeting on Dec. 23 at the Peabody Hotel, which is where the team and its traveling party will stay through the week. "We'll go through everything there is to cover," Croom said last week. "They'll get their final manual there so they'll know where they've got to be and when they've got to be there. And then we'll start work the next day." State will practice at Rhodes College in Memphis during bowl week. Full Story
