| Hughes' big day hardly surprising STARKVILLE — Jamon Hughes had a team-best 12 tackles at West Virginia Saturday, a fact that didn't exactly surprise Mississippi State coach Sylvester Croom. He's hoping it's a good sign of things to come for the 6-foot, 230-pound reserve middle linebacker from Rolling Fork. "As far as getting to the football and making hits, the only problem with Jamon in the past, the only reason he hasn't played any more, is inconsistency in alignment and assignment," Croom said. But Hughes' play created at least one problem for himself - an ankle injury. Croom said he wasn't sure if Hughes would be available for today's practice. Full Story
