MSU football: O'Quinn: Starting at MSU just latest twist in his career

STARKVILLE — The thought briefly ran through Jasper O'Quinn's mind as he writhed in pain on the Scott Field grass Saturday afternoon.
He had been chop-blocked, grabbing his knee and wiggling so much it was tough to watch. Trainers sprinted to him. It looked like - and O'Quinn thought like - it could be a serious injury.
"But I'm a tough kid," O'Quinn said Tuesday. "So I just got up."
A few plays later, those who wrote off O'Quinn's No. 23 to injury got a startling surprise. Playing at corner, O'Quinn intercepted Erik Ainge's pass to give State a fourth-quarter chance for a comeback.
He's gotten up again - into Mississippi State's starting plans at cornerback.
