| Croom shuffles Bulldogs' deep offensive lines STARKVILLE — Late in the first quarter in Saturday's 33-21 loss to Tennessee, the numbers in the trenches didn't add up to the usual for Mississippi State. The Bulldogs were playing their second-string offensive line, and doing it en masse. It worked out well for the Bulldogs, paving the way for a bruising offense that included a 14-yard pass from Wes Carroll to Justin Williams and runs of 8 and 17 yards for Anthony Dixon. The first-stringers soon returned. MSU coach Sylvester Croom said the move wasn't necessarily a motivator for the team's No. 1 string, but more of a predictor of things to come. Full Story
