| Re: Mississippi State Bulldogs @ Tulane Green Wave This will be Tulane's season opener, so it's kind of hard to get a feel for exactly how good they'll be. But Mississippi State needs to play a lot better than they did against LSU, I'll tell you that. I know the Tigers are a superior team, but you should never lose to a conference opponent in a 45-point shutout! And on top of that, to net just 146 total yards of offense, just 10 of it on the ground? That has GOT to improve, I don't care who you're playing.

| Re: Mississippi State Bulldogs @ Tulane Green Wave Mississippi State at Tulane Last week: Michael Henig threw six interceptions as No. 2 LSU blew out the Bulldogs 45-0 in the opener for both teams. Saturday: at Tulane (Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans), 6 p.m. TV: CSS Radio: MSU network (WOAD-105.9 FM, Jackson) ON OFFENSE Bob Toledo brings renowned offensive schemes to the Green Wave but doesn't have an experienced starting quarterback to run them. Scott Elliott looks to be TU's choice to replace Lester Ricard after winning the job in preseason camp. But Tulane's biggest strength is its running game. Three backs who started at least one game last year return, led by Matt Forte. He missed the team's last three games last year with an injury, but had established himself as a threat to run and catch passes. ON DEFENSE
