MSU Football: Dogs' Jones late convert to fullback position

STARKVILLE — Mom always wanted him to go to Mississippi State.
Jeremy Jones disagreed.

So out of West Jefferson High in Harvey, La., Jones signed with LSU in 2004, not two months after the Tigers won a share of the national title.

But LSU wanted to grayshirt him, meaning the school wanted to delay his enrollment for another year. And after a couple of months spent working out with the Tigers, Jones figured out a great piece of wisdom.

Mom was right. Isn't she always?
