| Mississippi State Bulldogs VS. LSU Tigers Bulldogs don't fear Tigers Potential to improve excites Miss. St. coach Glenn Guilbeau BATON ROUGE - LSU has been one of the most publicized college football teams in the nation over the summer as it has been ranked No. 2 to USC in virtually every preseason poll. Coach Les Miles' controversial comments on USC and its schedule drew national attention. The simmering feud between Miles and Alabama coach Nick Saban, whom Miles replaced, has also drawn a lot of attention. USC is not on LSU's schedule unless both reach the Bowl Championship Series national championship game in New Orleans. Alabama does not play LSU until Nov. 3. The Mississippi State team that the Tigers open with on Thursday night on ESPN has been the subject of little conversation from LSU. "They've been talking more about other teams," State defensive end Titus Brown said at the SEC media days last month. "But that's all right. I think we can go out there and make Mississippi State known for something with the opening game. We respect LSU, and we're going to prepare and go out there and try to defeat them."
